What is your fav recipe for french toast?

1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup butter

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

12 slices honey white bread

3/4 cup raisins

1 cup chopped pecans, toasted and divided

6 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

2 teaspoons grated lemon rind

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cups whipping cream, divided

1/4 cup powdered sugar

Maple syrup

Fully cooked bacon slices (optional)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan; cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat 3 to 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves.

Pour brown sugar mixture into an ungreased 13 by 9-inch baking dish. Arrange 6 bread slices in brown sugar mixture, cutting slices as necessary to fit in dish. Sprinkle raisins and 3/4 cup pecans evenly over bread. Top with remaining bread slices.

Whisk together eggs, next 4 ingredients, and 1 cup cream. Pour egg mixture over bread slices in baking dish.

Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

Beat remaining 1/2 cup whipping cream until foamy; gradually add powdered sugar, beating until soft peaks form.

Divide French toast evenly among individual serving plates. Top each serving with whipped cream; drizzle with maple syrup, and sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup pecans. Serve with bacon, if desired. What is your fav recipe for french toast?

in a lrage bowl combine eggs, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla, ginger.

Beat with whisk till blended, slowly add milk as desired consistancy ( you dont want it to be to eggy or too runny).

heat griddle or skillet to medium to medium high heat, melting the butter in pan.

now this is tricky you dont want the bread to absorb too much liquid you just want to QUICKLY

coat both sides of your bread with the mixture.

making sure the cinnamon is nice and clumpy on top. you can also sprinkle on cinnamon while cooking. Brown both sides and serve IMMEDIATTLY.

with butter and hot syrup.

Enjoy.
use slices of frence bread, beat eggs, milk, sugar, flavoring(of choice), spices:(nutmeg, cinnamon). Now beat this concotion,

well, then pour over bread, that has been arranged in a pan and bake, or fry in a preheated skillet, if you fry it don't soak the bread, just cover both sides quickly, so it doesn't fall apart, and fry in hot veg. oil, until golden brown and firm on both sides.
Raspberry Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast

1 cup milk

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

1 cup white sugar

2 tablespoons cinnamon

4 eggs, beaten

1 cup raspberry puree

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 loaf French bread, cut into 1 inch slices

butter

confectioners' sugar for dusting

nutmeg, for topping

In a bowl, whisk milk, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon into the beaten eggs until well blended. Set aside. In a separate bowl, cream together raspberry puree and cream cheese until smooth. Make 'sandwiches' by cutting each slice of bread in half and spreading raspberry-cheese mixture in the center, then top with the other half.

Melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet or griddle. Dip bread into egg mixture, coating thoroughly. Cook until well-browned on both sides, about 5 minutes. Dust with confectioners' sugar and nutmeg. Serve immediately.
