Contrary to popular belief, milk isn't necessary for this. It doesn't make it taste any differently, but it may change the consistency of the bread. It's just a personal preference.Whats the easiest recipe for french toast?
If you just want 2 make french toast for yourself just half the recipe

2 eggs

1 small glass of milk

salt and pepper

bread

Firstly put cooking oil into a frying pan or butter then get your bread and dip it into the mixture so that the bread is soggy then place into the frying pan. Turn it over a couple of times to make sure it gets cooking properly, cook until it is a golden brown

P.S Whisk the eggs milk and salt and pepper together to get the mixture.
2 eggs

about 2 or 3 tables spoons of milk or half and half

a pinch of salt

1/2 tsp sugar

1 tsp vanilla

thick cut bread, ( I like kings Hawaiian bread. )

mix the above ingrediants until combined. Dip bread in the mixture,

cook on a hot lightly buttered grill until bread is browned.

Top with cinnamon, powered sugar, and what ever you like on your french toast and enjoy.
The absolute easiest most basic is to just take a couple eggs and 1/2 cup of milk and with a fork whip up on a bowl and then dip whatever kind of bread you like into the egg/milk mixture and heat up a pan with a little butter melted on it on the stove over medium heat for about 2 minutes on one side then flip to the other side a couple minutes. It's very basic really.
you need:

1 piece of thick, white bread (or any sort of bread depending on your preferences.)

1 egg

1 cup of milk

pinch of cinnamon

tablespoon of butter.

1. crack the egg into a bowl and whisk.

2. pour the milk and whisk more.

3. add the cinnamon and whisk to a good consistency.

4. lightly soak the bread.

5. put bread on a fry pan over medium/high heat, with butter melted over it.

6. cook until brown, turning with a spatula.

Enjoy with maple syrup/cream/strawberries/bananas. This is a REALLY simple recipe I made up and it cant go wrong. xx
Slices of bread to your taste (I like fresh white loaf bread, diagonally sliced bagette and or a tasty wholemeal loaf)

Two free range eggs

Half a cup of milk

Salt and pepper to taste

1. prepare the bread (slice to fit fry pan)

2. Mix together the egg and milk (breaking the eggs separately first into a saucer just in case one is off)

3. Add the seasoning

4. Dip the bread into the whisked egg mix and drain the excess off for a few seconds over the bowl by resting on a large slotted spatula or simular)

5. Heat the pan over a medium heat and add the egged bread checking its cooking progress by flipping over about two mins each side.

You can add any sweet or savoury herbs or spices to the egg mix.

My family prefer savoury others add sugar, nutmeg etc
Here is my recipe (it's easy, and GOOD!)

1--Use a really nice bread like challah or Rosen's Hawaiian bread. Cut it into thick pieces (at least 1 inch thick) If not available, use sliced white bread.

This recipe is for about 6 slices.

2--In a large bowl, combine two eggs and a 1/4 cup of milk. Beat well.

3--Add a 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla

4--Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet. Don't let it burn.

5--Dip the bread in the egg mixture and fry it in the skillet until it is browned on both sides.

Sprinkle with cinnamon while it is cooking.

Top with butter when done.

Serve with any one of the following:

maple syrup

powdered sugar

jam

Is this for your Mom? Hope she likes it!

I use equal parts of milk and eggs, half and half can be substituted if you choose, a little cinnamon, whisk them together and dip my bread, Texas toast or french bread sliced thick are the best. Just dip your bread and fry.
1. preheat skillet, not too hot tho.

2. get a bowl and scramble a couple eggs (more depending on how many ur cooking for) season with salt and pepper and maybe a bit of vanilla and a dash of milk.

3. get thick slices of some sort of bread and soak them in the eggs

4. cook until done!
