hey here i have for u a basic french toast recipe wid cream cheese filling i hope ur interested in it............


A special French toast with cream cheese filling, made with sliced French or Italian bread, eggs, cream cheese, and other ingredients. Serve with maple syrup or fruit topping.


INGREDIENTS:


1 long loaf French or Italian bread, about 8 to 10 ounces


4 ounces cream cheese, softened


1/2 cup finely chopped pecans


4 large eggs


1/4 cup milk


1/4 cup water


3 tablespoons butter


1 tablespoon Canola oil


PREPARATION:


Cut bread on the diagonal into about 16 slices. Spread cream cheese on 8 slices of the bread, on one side only. Sprinkle pecans over slices with the cream cheese spread. Top each spread slice with a plain slice of bread. You will have 8 ';sandwiches.'; Beat eggs and milk in a shallow bowl until smooth. Add sandwiches to the mixture, turning several times to coat thoroughly.


Heat butter and in a heavy skillet over medium heat. When butter stops foaming, add all of the sandwiches in a single layer. Fry for about 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until golden brown and crisp. Serve with maple syrup or other fruit topping.

Baked Apple French Toast Casserole





Ingredients:





3 large green apples


1 stick (1/2 cup) butter


1/2 cup brown sugar


12 ounces cream cheese


12 slices firm bread, any flavor


8 eggs


1 quart milk


2 tablespoons vanilla


cinnamon to taste





Preparation:





Set rack in lower third of oven and preheat to 350 degrees F. Butter a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Core and cut the apples into thin wedges, leaving the skin on.





In a skillet, melt the butter with brown sugar and 1 tablespoon water. Add the apples and cook stirring for two to three minutes. Transfer to the baking dish and let cool.





Cut the cream cheese into cubes and arrange evenly over the apples. Cut the slices of bread in half diagonally and layer over the apples to cover the whole dish.





In a large mixing bowl, beat together eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour the egg mixture over the bread, taking care to dampen all of the bread. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, until golden and puffed. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.Baked French Toast Recipe?

DIRECTIONS


Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange the slices of bread in the bottom. In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour over bread slices, cover, and refrigerate overnight.


The next morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and corn syrup; heat until bubbling. Pour over bread and egg mixture.


Bake in preheated oven, uncovered, for 40 minutes.
Harvest Apple French Toast








2 packages (12.5 ounces each) frozen plain French toast, thawed


1 cup milk


6 eggs


2 medium red baking apples such as Jonathan


1/2 cup walnuts, chopped


2 tablespoons butter or margarine


1/4 cup maple-flavored syrup


2 teaspoons cinnamon


1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries or raisins


Powdered sugar and additional maple-flavored syrup (optional)





1. Preheat oven to 375潞F. Lightly spray a rectangular baker with oil. Cut French toast into 1-inch cubes; place in baker.





2. In a small microwave-cooker, microwave milk on HIGH 1 1/2-2 minutes or until hot. In a bowl, whisk eggs. While continuously whisking, slowly pour hot milk into eggs. Pour egg mixture over French toast cubes; stir gently. Set aside.





3. Core and slice apples, leaving peel on. Cut apple slices into quarters. Chop walnuts. Melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add apples, walnuts, syrup and cinnamon. Cook over medium-high heat 3-3 1/2 minutes or until apples are crisp-tender.





4. Pour apple mixture over French toast mixture. Sprinkle with cranberries; mix using scraper. Bake 30-32 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with additional maple-flavored syrup, if desired.





Baked Apple French Toast








1 (16-ounce) loaf French bread


8 eggs


3 cups milk


1/4 cup sugar, divided


1 tablespoon vanilla extract


5 Granny Smith apples, peeled, sliced


2 teaspoons ground cinnamon


2 tablespoons butter or margarine





Preheat the oven to 400掳F.





Cut the bread into 1 1/2-inch slices. Arrange the slices in a single layer in a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Whisk the eggs in a large bowl until blended. Whisk in the milk, 1/4 cup of the sugar and vanilla.





Pour half the egg mixture over the bread. Arrange the apple slices over the bread. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the apples. Mix the remaining 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small mixing bowl. Sprinkle over the top. Dot with the butter. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the apples are tender. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with maple syrup.





May be prepared 1 day in advance and stored, covered, in the refrigerator. Bake, uncovered, for 45 to 50 minutes or until the apples are tender. The recipe may be divided into 2 equal portions and each portion baked in a quiche dish or 2-quart baking dish for 20 to 25 minutes.
Overnight Oven-Baked French Toast:





Prep: 15 min., Chill: 8 hrs., Bake: 45 min.





Dust with powdered sugar just before serving.





1 (16-ounce) French bread loaf


1/4 cup butter, softened


4 large eggs


1 cup milk


1/4 cup sugar


2 tablespoons maple syrup


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


1/2 teaspoon salt





Cut bread loaf into about 10 (3/4-inch-thick) slices.





Spread butter evenly over one cut side of each bread slice.





Arrange bread, butter side up, in an ungreased 13- x 9-inch baking dish.





Whisk together eggs and next 5 ingredients; pour over bread, pressing slices down. Cover and chill 8 hours.





Remove bread slices from baking dish, and place on two lightly greased baking sheets.





Bake, uncovered, at 350掳 for 45 minutes or until golden.





Yield: Makes 8 servings
