Can someone give me a good french toast recipe??

Please and thank you

specific instruction would also be much appreciatedCan someone give me a good french toast recipe??
This was something my older sister told me and it turned out great. You make french toast the regular way at first- take an egg (two depending on how my french toast you plan on making), about 1/2-2/3 cup milk (depends on if how you like the toast and how thick the bread you choose it). Mix the two ingredients into a small bowl- preferrably one with a flat bottom, like tubberware. Mix together with a fork or a whisk. When mixture is evenly mix together, the color should be a light yellow, place a slice of bread into the mixture. Flip the slice over to get both sides covered in the mixture. On the stove or on a grittle heat to medium heat. Now place the slice of bread onto the grille or frying pan. Take about a drop or so of vinalla extract and place into the center of the slice of bread. Check to see if the side down is a light crisp brown. If so (this should have been about 30-50 secs) flip to the other side and repeat with the vinalla extract. Again check to see if the slice is a light crisp brown. If so, romove from pan or grittle. The slice should have a sweet taste to it. Feel free to sprinkle powdered sugar on top. Serve with syrup. Can someone give me a good french toast recipe??
My Dad taught me how to make french toast when I was younger, and this is his recipe. We love it.

FRENCH TOAST

Sliced White Bread

eggs (approximately 2 eggs per serving)

Milk

Vanilla

Butter

Maple syrup

Whip eggs with a little milk and one or two dashes of vanilla. Place 1 tablespoon of butter in skillet over medium-high heat. Coat bottom of the skillet with butter. (Do not allow the butter to scorch and turn brown.) Dip bread into the egg mixture and coat both sides. (Do this quickly so that the bread doesn't fall apart.) Place the bread in skillet and brown. Flip over. Brown on other side. Put a pat of butter on each hot slice of toast. Top with maple syrup. Serve with orange segments, sliced bananas, apple wedges or any other fruit of your choice on the side.

Hint: Slightly stale bread works best.
Buy 1 or two French or Italian baguettes (the long thin ones) the day before you want to make your french toast. DONT make french toast with store brand bread as it will be soggy.

Mix 4 eggs, 1 cup of milk, pinch of salt, and 1 teaspoon vanilla (don't skip the vanilla) in a wide bowl.

slice bread 1 inch thick

Heat griddle pan or skillet for a few minutes until a drop of water will dance and then reduce to medium heat

dip slices of bread into egg mixture for 4 seconds on each side. Remove with fork and let drip for a second before placing on griddle.

Cook on griddle for 2-3 minutes per side or until nicely browned on each side. Sometimes i lightly oil the griddle but if you use nonstick that should not be necessary. The oil creates a crispier texture if you can deal with the extra fat that comes with it.

Serve with butter and maple syrup.
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

10 slices French bread, about 1 inch thick

2 cups milk

4 large eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/8 teaspoon salt

1 quart fresh strawberries, cleaned, sliced

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Confectioners' sugar

1. Place brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil; boil 1 minute. Pour into 13-x 9-inch baking dish. Arrange bread in single layer over sauce.

2. Combine milk, eggs, vanilla and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk until smooth. Pour over bread in dish. Cover; chill overnight.

3. Combine the strawberries, honey and lemon juice in a medium bowl. Chill until ready to serve.

4. Preheat oven to 350. Cook casserole until knife inserted in center comes out clean and bread is browned, 45-55 minutes. Sprinkle lightly with confectioners' sugar. Serve warm with strawberry mixture.
Individual Serving

1 large egg well beaten

2 slices day old bread white, fruited, Italian, French, Pannatone etc

3. frying pan with vegetable oil, butter or bacon fat melted

Dip both sides of a slice of bread into the egg, place in heated oil and fry turning once unti golden brown on both sides. Repeat with second slice of bread. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
Depends how many slices of bread you want to make, but here is a two egg recipe.

2 eggs

1/2 cup milk

1/4 tsp salt

beat until mixed one minute then pour into a glass pie plate

Cut your bread in half

dip halves into egg mixture and let it soak a bit

I think this will make about 6 full slices.

By the way I use egg bread(Chala)for this french toast.

Fry in a buttered frying pan on both sides

remove and serve with jam, maple syrup, sugar or anything of your choice.
well i know theses expensive but use caviar or anchovies on top and cut into squares great with drink parties
This is an easy and new way to make french toast, and it is really tasty!

Recipe for 1 serving (2 pieces)

2 pieces of your favorite style bread

1 egg (or egg beaters)

Tsp of water or milk

Sprinkle of Cinnamon

About 1 small bowl of crunched up corn flakes (or your favorite low sweetened cereal)

Add the water and the cinnamon to the egg, beat well.

Dip bread into the egg mixture, and then coat with the cereal (like shake and bake, but without the shaking...lol.) on each side.

Fry with butter until it is golden brown.

I know this may sound a little odd, but it is really tasty. But if you use a cereal that is really sweet, like frosted flakes, it can become a little overpowering once you add syrup.
put one stick of butter cut up put on the bottom of pan, sprinkle with dark brown sugar 1c. get a loaf of bread, cut into 2 inch thick slices, place on top of other ingredients beat 6 eggs add 1c milk pour over whole thing, cover with foil let sit over night, bake at 325 for oh bout an hour........

NEXT, ...typical toast but after you grill you put peanut butter and jelly with bananas cover with another piece and put syrup over it.....it sounds like too much stuff but trust me, they are SO good
My best french toast recipe:

1 loaf Hawaiian Bread, sliced 3/4 inch thick

4 eggs, well beaten

1-1/2 to 2 cups milk

2 Tablespoons orange juice

1 Tablespoon sugar or sugar substitute

2 teaspoons cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place bread slices in large baking pan (use 2 if necessary). Mix beaten eggs and other ingredients well; pour slowly over bread slices and refrigerate overnight. Heat griddle coated with butter spray or canola oil at ';medium';. Cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side until browned. Serve with fresh fruit and syrup or dust with powdered sugar.
1 egg

splash of milk

splash of vanilla

a couple of shakes of cinnimon

Approx 1-2 tablespoons bisquick

2 pieces of texas toast

Mix all ingredients expect bread in a shallow pan. It will be lumpy, that's okay. Dip each piece of toast on both sides in the batter then cookin a skillet with melted butter or oil.

The bisquick makes it a fluffy french toast, if you don't have bisquick jusy conyinue on with out it.

*crunchy french toast

Panko bread crumbs

cinnimon

sugar

Mix everything together to the flavor you like.

Prepare toast as above except dip the battered bread in the panko mix before cooking. DELICIOUS!!
We buy ours in the freezer section at the grocery store. We like the Aunt Jamima brand. Just pop in the toaster or microwave. Delicious.

Here are some recipes for you to cook:

I like to use the bread that is cut thick like the Texas toast. But regular bread works well too. I use two or three eggs, one cup of milk, 2 teaspoons of vanilla and as much ground Cinnamon as you like. put all of these ingredients together, except the bread, and beat together until well mixed. heat a skillet to medium if its non-stick you don't need butter or oil. dip the bread in the milk mixture to coat both sides. put on to skillet and heat until both sides are golden brown and bread is soft but not soggy anymore. I like to put syrup on mine or powder sugar.
