I love to cook french toast. I use coffee creamer, for the milk, like carnation, or other flavored ones. french vanilla, hazelnut, and your choice. Vanilla and I love cinnomon, but I add no sugar creamer sweet enough. I melt sum jam, and use it as syrup. Make it your way!

I also step up supper by making toasted ham and cheese and dip bread and egg batter like french toast w salt and pepper and other herbs you like. just gril like regular takes a tad longer than normal french toast or ham and cheese for the fact u got two things to cook.Give me good recipe for french toast please?
2 large eggs

cap full of vanilla

dash of cinnamon

splash of heavy cream

white bread

whip up the mixture, saturate the bread, heat up flat grill or skillet flip after 2-3 minutes till nice and toast brown and dry. YUM!
Just plain old normal french toast

Texas toast

1 cup milk

4 eggs

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tsp sugar

powdered sugar to sprinkle on top

2 tbs margarine

Beat together milk, eggs, cinnamon, sugar, extract.

put a pat of margarine in a skillet dip your Texas toast in the batter don't soak it too much because you want to inside to also cook with out burning the outside and cook a few minutes on each side, cut into triangles and sprinkle powdered sugar add syrup and enjoy.

*you can omit the cinnamon, sugar and vanilla extract in the batter if you like to make it more plain but they taste better with it.

*You can also use heavy cream or half and half

* Use regular white slice bread or even raisin cinnamon bread if you can't find texas toast.

*Use margarine instead of butter on this one since your putting it in a skillet margarine will not burn as fast as butter(even though I choose butter over margarine).

Take day old french bread in thick slices and dip in a mixture of egg, milk, vanilla and cinnamon. Cook on a hot griddle until egg is cooked. Serve with powdered sugar, butter and syrup! Ummm, my favorite breakfast food!!!!
Get Hawaiian Bread! It makes the difference from good to great.

Beat eggs and bit of milk w/ vanilla and a dash of sugar. Sprinkle with cinnamon on each side, and keep on griddle until light brown on either side.

Have a bit of fruit with the French Toast, and a brisk walk/jog in the morning to keep calories at a minimum.

Great way to make French Toast.
America's Test Kitchen has a fantastic recipie that is almost a bread pudding. I don't know the exact recipie by heart but you need a loaf of white french bread that you cut the crust off and slice about 1'; thick, let the bread dry, butter a 9x13 pan and cover the bottom with brown sugar. Butter the stale bread slices and place them in the pan, pour a mixture of eggs and half %26amp; half over that, cover the pan with plastic wrap and then foil, place a couple of weights on top and refrigerate overnight. The next morning take it out of the fridge about 45 minutes before you cook it to get it back to room temp. It gets all fluffy and custardy and is really decadent. You don't need syrup or anything else with it other than some bacon, ham or sausage.
1 egg drop of milk pepper slice of thick white bread and little oil

whisk egg milk season to taste soak bread in egg

heat frying pan with a little oil and cook both sides until golden brown

try bacon and sausage and beans on top like you do with beans on toast
I just whip up a couple of eggs with a glop of milk. I like mine with a lot of black pepper and a little salt. Some people like to add cinnamon.

I soak the bread, on both sides because I prefer my french toast heavy and hearty. Some will tell you to just coat the bread lightly to make a lighter feeling toast. Preferences I guess.

In a lightly buttered pan, I drop in the soaked toast. Because mine are so heavy in egg batter, I need to brown it a bit longer, leaving my french toast a little on the dark side.

I serve it hot with butter melting and plenty of maple syrup.

I see lots of restaurants put jellies and fruit on top and a dollop of whipped cream.

For a special treat, I sometimes make it with somewhat thick slabs of sourdough french bread. Arrrrgh! Yummmm! The holey bread means more nooks and crannies for butter and syrup. The crunchy crust adds a fun texture.
Bascally, just beat some eggs and a little milk, heat some butter in a pan, dip the bread in the eggs and fry.

Add some cinnamon, vanilla, and/or banana extract for some flavor.

Use good quality bread. A nice dense French or sourdough is what you want, cheap sandwich bread just doesn't turn out right.

French toast for dinner -- use a strong-flavored rye bread, add some habenero sauce and chopped jalepeno to the eggs, serve with sour cream. When you find yourself doing something like this it's time for a trip to the grocery store.
Orange Pecan French Toast:

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/3 cup butter, melted

2 tablespoons light corn syrup

1/3 cup chopped pecans

12 (3/4 inch thick) slices French bread

1 teaspoon grated orange zest

1 cup fresh orange juice

1/2 cup 2% milk

3 tablespoons white sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 egg whites

2 eggs

1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar for dusting

--------------------------------------鈥?br>

DIRECTIONS:

In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar, melted butter, and corn syrup. Pour into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, and spread evenly. Sprinkle pecans over the sugar mixture. Arrange the bread slices in the bottom of the dish so they are in a snug single layer.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the orange zest, orange juice, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, egg whites, and eggs. Pour this mixture over the bread, pressing on the bread slices to help absorb the liquid. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour, or overnight.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C ). Remove the cover from the baking dish, and let stand for 20 minutes at room temperature.

Bake for 35 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
Take one slice of french bread. Place in toaster. Push lever down. Wait. When toast pops up add butter and jam to taste.
it's just eggs and you take bread dip them in eggs and then you put them on a pan!
