Try to make a batter with flour and water (season to taste), until it has the consistency of pancake batter and cover the piece of bread. Fry in plenty of butter.
Yes, It's a secret recipe at the waffle house I work at. I can't tell though.
Great recipe:
4 pieces of bread
4 tablespoons of silken tofu (blend it smooth in food processor or blender)
1/2 cup to 1 cup of soy milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. Earth Balance Butter Spread or other non-saturated margarine
Blend all ingredients except bread and oil with a whisk. Soak bread in mixture. Heat pan with spread to melt, then, when hot, add soaked bread and cook until golden brown, flip, and cook other side.
My vegan grandma made this one morning and I didn't know it was vegan until I realized she was eating it and I go, OMG is this VEGAN?! Because it doesn't taste like tofu at all. Sooo Delicious, and no extra flour needed.
Ps I use Silk vanilla soymilk which is sweetend, but if your soymilk is plain, you can add a bit of maple syrup or sugar. Also, if you start to run out of tofu mixture or want to make more, just add a bit more milk and it will still work.

Buy some silken tofu. Blend till it becomes a paste, add pepper, cover bread with the mixture and fry in canola oil as normal french toast, yummy
Vegans don't deserve to eat french toast. Eat some meat darnit.
If you have your own chickens you would see they mostly peck and eat greens all day long, same as cows who eat grass and greens.
Why not eat an egg as long as you have no rooster there is no chance the egg can be fertilised and it is the best vegetarian protein you can eat!
