2 eggs (beaten)

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

2/3-1 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

4-6 slices bread

Place all ingredients except bread in a bowl and whisk with a wire whisk till well blended and no longer lumpy.

Heat a frying pan on medium eat and spray with pan spray or add a T of butter.

Dip bread in batter and fry till golden brown on both sides.

The amount this makes is determined by how much the bread soaks up the batter. What is a good recipe for french toast batter?
2 eggs and 2 tablespoons of milk.
My family loves mine..here is what I do to make it

6 eggs

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon of allspice

They love it!!!!

Don't know if you can find it, but my family also likes Texas Toast the best.
2 eggs

1cup 1/2 %26amp; 1/2

1tsp vanilla

1.5tsp cinnamon

1tsp sugar

2tsp fresh orange orange zest
There is not much to FT.

and a batter ??? stale bread well beaten eggs.

da te da

Spice it up how is your imagination.

I make 2 slices of bread.

But I also use 2 eggs it makes 3 - 4 FT's. (3 really/

I add a dash of milk or if I have some sour cream to stretch it.)

a little cinnamon or pumpkin spice and 1/8 t sugar.

I also make my own syurp ;;1/4c h2o 3Tbls sugar several drops maple extract,, vanilla - rum ???.- - reduce

It makes the whole house small great.

or 1/4c h2o 3-4 Tlbs Brown sugar and cinnamon

reduce mixture till you like it.

You can add Disaronno, Drambuie, Crown Royal, or most any ';spice';.

You can also do the same recipe but use a waffel iron.

PS to the 1/2 c flour 'If you mix with a little milk or cold water first ==== NO lumps.
I don't get fancy, or measure, I just whisk the eggs and add milk (if there is any) or water, and add a shake of cinnamon. I'd rather go for quantity than quality (oink)

And, I like to soak the bread a long time so the egg soaks into the bread, it takes longer to cook until the egg is cooked, but it tastes lots better.
Make sure you're using stale bread, you don't want to batter to soak in, just coat the outside. As the answer above, I too, prefer to use Texas toast. I don't measure anything, I generally use two eggs, probably 1/2 cup of milk, cinnamon, sugar and a dash of vanilla. I grease my pan with butter and cook them over medium/high heat.
egg is fine but ive found if u toast the bread first then u dip in egg it comes out better eggs in a basket is also good recipe
I use a 2-1 ratio of milk to eggs then I put in a litle cinnamon and nutmeg and you are good to go.
